In the summer of 2017 the Lieder Academy will start the complete recording of the Mὅrike Lieder from Hugo Wolf. We will be using up to 15 singers for this project which will hopefully be released mid 2018.

The first one was a great success, we had a laugh and heard some great songs. So now we move onto our second evening. Thursday the 5th November. Come along sing, play, talk, drink and enjoy a stress-free evening of your favourite music.

We are very pleased to announce that The Lieder Academy is to represent the world of Art Song at the 2016 Harmos Festival in Porto, Portugal. We will be giving a two day master-class for singers and pianists, finishing with two concerts. Further details to follow.

The Lieder Academy presents the Lieder Cafe.  Set in an intimate cafe with a small stage and a small piano, we invite you to come along, have a drink,
talk with fellow artists and sing a couple of songs.  A spontaneous get together for which the only requirement is the repertoire!
Bring beautiful music from the larger classical Art Song repertoire and yourself. The Lieder Cafe is Open to all singers and pianists from all styles.

Podium Grounds in Rotterdam is a recognised podium for International Performing Art and World Music.

We are proud to announce that The Lieder Academy is organising a Lieder Cafe, an evening in Rotterdam where you can come sing and play a few songs, talk and drink with like minded artists. An informal, relaxed private event. Just the way lieder was supposed to be performed! First dates are 1st October and 5th November. Full details/location coming this week!

Here it is, finally finished, our new hall. Waiting for the new Bechstein and for all of you in November for our first class. Still some places left!!

Our second class, Mélodie Française is now confirmed for the 13th/15th March 2015. We are so proud and happy to have the wonderful, talented Peggy Bouveret as our teacher. Pianists will be in the hands of Kelvin Grout and this promises to be one of the most exciting classes in the Netherlands. Don’t miss this!!!

The Dutch baritone Maarten Koningsberger will give the first master class for the Lieder Academy 21st to the 23rd November 2014. He will work alongside Kelvin Grout in a joint class on the works of Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann.
